Width of 8 1/2 is narrow

Width of 8 1/2 is narrow width. The length is good. 8 1/2 regular for women should be 3 5/8" but the width is 3 1/2' inside the shoe. I did try the size 9 and it was too long and I think too wide. I think it would be a good fit if was the correct measurements for women's 8 1/2". I got a 8 1/2 women's in the Fila Brand it and it was true to sizing and was not too tight on the width.

Depends on foot width

If you have narrow feet, these are for you. If you have wide feet, forget about it. Medium width, can definitely work but going up 1/2 size might feel more comfortable. Overall the lightweight feel and build of this shoe is superb.

I love these shoes!! They B width fit a glove and look great! I was worried based on some of the reviews that they might be too small, but not at all - in fact these shoes are a half size smaller than my old shoes in a regular width. This is my first Yonex tennis shoe purchase I think they may be the best fitting pair of tennis or running shoes I've ever purchased.
