It was only a matter of time until one of the most popular string manufacturers came out with a racquet: the Solinco Whiteout 305 XTD tennis racquet is here! This racquet features a slew of Solinco's new racquet technologies, including Foam Core in the head of the racquet that absorbs and reduces vibration for better feel; incorporated Liquid Crystal fibers that optimize flex and feel, and offer comfort and better control; 40T Carbon Fiber at the 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock positions to maximize the sweet spot, stability, and power of your shot; and finally, the innovative Weight Control Module, which offers an optional (sold separately) interchangeable 5-gram or 10-gram butt cap plates so that you can tailor the weight and balance of the racquet to your liking.

In terms of fundamentals, this racquet has a 98 square-inch head size, weighs in at 11.4 ounces when strung, and is 4-points head light, making this the ideal option for powerful but controlled groundstrokes from the baseline. The 16x19 string pattern lets the strings bite into the ball for greater spin potential, and the crisp monochromatic color way comes together for a high-performance racquet for an adept player. Extended length version at 27.5 inches in length.

For Optimal String Performance Solinco Recommends:

  • Power: Solinco Tour Bite
  • Control: Solinco Confidential
  • Power and Spin: Solinco Hyper G

Solid Racquet worth a Demo
This shopper rated the product 4 out of 5 stars

I liked the Racquet a lot. I wanted and requested the XTD 18x20 but was sent the XTD 16x19. I did not feel the extra 1/2 long was an issue. It will help your serves! I was able to get the 18x20 somewhere else as Tennis Point still do not have it available, and it does have more control and lower launch. I would recommend for more flat hitters but adding spin was not an issue. The 16x19 is more powerful but hitting against big hitters i would recommend the 18x20 for more control yet still provide depth and pace on your shots.

Worth the look - Control, Feel and Power
This shopper rated the product 5 out of 5 stars

I have been using the Babolat Pure Strike for several years and been looking for a new racquet and this seems to fill the need. It's like a new version of the Pure Strike, similar feel with a little extra power and reach (half inch). Using Solinco Hyper G 17G at 55 (also used in the Pure Strike), no arm issues and I haven't broken strings yet, which I thought I might with the extra pace and spin that I feel I am getting. I like the extra half inch reach for serves and overheads. I did buy the weighted butt caps to try out as I do like to customize my rackets, but haven't used them yet as the balance is very nice and gives plenty of power. I have used older Solinco racquets and the Whiteout and even the Blackout, which I have also tried (is between a Babolat Pure Strike and Babolat Pure Drive in feel) are a great step up.

Responsive, Solid & Outstanding C/P Value
This shopper rated the product 5 out of 5 stars

I've been using Pro Staff (V.10, V11 and V13, all 315g) and customized them. So I did take some time to adapt to this 27.5in length. However, once you got used to it, this stick really shines particularly at serve and volley. I put leather grip on this stick, so the touch and feel is excellent. It is just slightly second to Pro Staff, but the Liquid Crystal does make this stick very easy to my arm despite I don't put any dampener so this is better than Pro Staff. I put X1-Biphase 16 on main (53lbs) and Alu Power Rough 16L on cross (50lbs). Seems a bit too powerful for me and I need to hold back my swing a little bit. I might switch to 17 gauge next time to see if I can get more control and fit my style more.
