Still shocked how fun and easy hitting with this racquet is! I’ve been playing since the late 90s with a pro staff / which is a heavier racquet similar to this- then a few years ago switched to the Wilson blade, which I still love. This racquet feels like I’m hitting harder and my top spin seems to seriously take off after it bounces. Love it!

This racquet is sick. HOWEVER, it is very heavy so you need to be a big strong man (or woman) to use it to its full potential. It looks the business and hits crazy topspin, but your forearm will take a beating until you get used to it. If you're a powerful player you'll love this racquet. If you're a girly man (or woman), look elsewhere. Pure Rafa diesel buddy.
Likes: -Powerful -Controllable (ish) -Serving -Volleys Dislikes - TINY margin for error - Insecurity Period of Break in - Tough to use Overall for the Baseliner who comes into volley when necessary. Must be a spin-oriented player. DO NOT recommend hitting flat unless you’ve got a stiff poly in here.
This racquet is quite heavy and offers a ton of power and spin. I would not recommend this for the average player, it is best for someone who is a high-level player as it wears you down fast if you are not used to a racquet with this sort of weight and swingweight. Otherwise, I love the weight and feel for a bit but, I can't play full matches with it. I'll use it occasionally but definitely prefer my traditional Pure Aero a lot more.
After trying Pure Aero Rafa origin these days, I think it is a super amazing Racquet. I am glad that I ordered one at Tennis Point with the superb customer service, including string and delivery service. I would like to buy another one at Tennis Point in the future. Here are my Setup and Review for Rafa Origin. (1) Setup String: RPM Blast 16 Gauge Tension: 55 Pounds for the whole pattern Overgrip: Babolat vs original (2) Review 1.Feel: Unlike Pure Aero 16 and 19,You can feel the fluidity of this racquet when swinging it because of no cortex system inside. That's very amazing. It's hard for me to depict that sensation. Also, with this setup, you can have the feelings of snapping ball when hitting sweet zone. That never happened when I used the same setup in Pure Aero 16 and 19. 2. Control, Power & Spin: With Rafa Origin, it's easy to generate enormous Spin, excellent Ball Speed , and the great ball position at the same time. It lets you have a feeling of being able to do anything on the court. 3. Serve, Volley, Slice, and Smash: This racket can easily let you have a strong serve, nasty slice with sidespin, and good feeling for Volley & Smashing. 4. Swing Weight: It's not easy to keep playing this 370 swingweight racquet for very long because the muscle gets fatigue very quickly. Everyone's time limit for playing is different. Be cautious for overplaying. This is probably the only drawback for Rafa Origin. In short, this is a very good racquet. It has everything a player wants. You should own one as a topspin lover !!!
