I purchased these shoes on sale to complement 2 new pairs of the 'regular' Speed FF shoes which are waiting to be worn in my closet. I tried these on today and they feel like a very different shoe, in fact, like most Nike shoes. They are light, yet stiff with little cushion or support. I am returning them for this reason.
This particular LE version is so different from the regualt solution speed FF3s. My leg & heels feel so sore after games with this LE version. No wonder they are sold at a discount.
My son loves to slide when he plays tennis. This pair has been tested aggressively and it is still in one piece.
Really enjoyed how lightweight and maneuverable the shoe was. Easy to wear and the grip is fantastic! Durability and breathability was great.
Never disappoints.
If you have a narrow foot with arthritis or plantar faciitis this shoe is great and I've tried them all for over a decade. The build quality is far superior to nike and the glue never comes off and I've worn them for months both as a player and for work as a nurse. If they are comfortable for a nurse I'm sure you will love them. They are low to ground yet plenty of cushion and arch support. Of course like any pro I always throw out the liner and use foam orthotics which are a must for any player.
Lightweight, comfortable, supportive and decent ventilation. Even thought they are low cut my feet stay planted and don't roll. Good for narrow to medium width feet.
These shoes have a different fit compared to the previous model (FF 2). I had a size 11.5 (US size) in the FF 2 but I may need to go half a size down for the FF3, I think.
I agree with previous review. I am a fan of the solution speed FF line, with the FF2 being the best tennis shoe for me. I have the black and green and a pair of the all white version. The SS FF3 is awful. Poor quality. The fit is not same to size. I am size 9 and the shoe is very loose. And what about the tongue? It is terrible. It is so long and does not stay in place during a match. I have to constantly correct it as it slides to the side of the shoe. I am definitely leaving asics and just bought a mizuno wave exceed which is super light, fast and snug to the foot!
I used to wear the Asics Court FF and loved them, the Court FF2 not as much and by the time they came out with the Court FF3, it was a completely different shoe. I then tried out the Solution Speed FF2, which seemed to be the most similar to original Court FF and found them to be a worthy substitute. If you have been wearing the Solution Speed FF2, this shoe feels nothing like them. It's so different, I'm surprised they have the same name. The center of balance, the heel, the composition of the toe box - nothing is the same. While it may end up being a good shoe for some people, I preferred the feel of the FF2 and ended up buying several pairs of them before they are gone forever. Asics - please stop changing shoes to bring out "new and improved" versions that don't stack up to their predecessors!
