First time using this specific string and loving the feel.
grabs the ball quite well, generates very nice spin, good feel,I've been using it for years & I've turned a lot of people on to it
The 127 ALU Power Spin string with the pentagonal cross section really grips the ball, I am able significantly increase the ball revolution on my topspin on both my forehand and backhand shots. This is a great string.
fast delivery, everything good
I find this string to be great for touch/feel when playing doubles. I also find it great for singles play but find the Rough string has just a hair bit more pop than the Spin string. Playing more doubles than singles, I find this string great....serves are great but really appreciate the string when volleying...simply a nice feel. Overall great for serving, returning, and volleying...offers confidence when playing doubles!
My daughter plays competitive tennis. Keeps her game going with confidence
I am a 3.5 4.0 level league player and have this string on two of my four rackets . I have found in matches where i cant keep my shots on the court, i can grab one of these on change over , and totally change the the outcome of my matches. The spin effect allows me to keep the shots inside the badeline , and also place incredible cross court shots from the baseline that sink over the net at rediculous short angles..., untouchable by opponents!
Likes: great spin, very good on controlling the ball, very durable Ok: power is ok, didn't feel much power Dislike: take some toll on the elbow
Excellent String. I am a 4.0+ all court player, use New Pro-Staff, 55 lbs. Thinner gauge provides excellent spin while only giving up slight durability. String has outstanding control and feel. I use this string for full racket and have no arm issues. Provides very consistent feel and precision of shots. Plus still able to rip a 90 mph forehand. best string I've tried. Both my daughters play college tennis and they are now using this string.
Bought it for a hybrid setup. Great control.
This is a mid-end quality string not as superb as Luxilon Savage, but much better than synthetic guts. (the usage experience of string is very subjective in my opinion). The reason I bought this instead of Salvage is the decent price offered by Midwest Sports.
Awesome feel, if you want to "punch that volley" and want a "drop it like its hot" dropshot, that keep your oppnenent scampering...Look no more! Been using x 5 years and no tennis elbow ever! Mean sting...for mean pinpoint shots!
I love this string! It has long life and helps to generate power and bites the ball for spin too.
I have been a long time Technifibre fan for my poly and by far this is way better than any Technifibre string I have ever played with! I strung this with a wilson synthetic gut and strung the poly at 54, and the synthetic gut at 57. Amazing. Took more spin to keep the ball in but it's possible to get that extra spin with this string. I was shocked at the difference the string made...at the same price point! I am a medium-high level high school player, and the string maintained its tension for the amount of time I played with it. Best poly string ever is the only way to describe it. I definently reccomend this for anyone that wants spin with some power, and the ability to control balls at the net.
Very good choice for those seeking top spin. Nice performance in arm-friendly hybrid string patterns.
Very good poly. Extraordinary spin, power, and feel.
The Luxilon is the perfect mate for the Wilson Pro Staff.
This is truly a great string providing an insane amount of power but... I would advise to not use this if you are a junior player that is 13 and under because this string takes a toll on your arm especially for kids with arms that are not developed, but this string is great in a hybrid set up
durable and powerful, it's classy.
My son uses the Luxilon Big Banger ALU Rough 16 as the mains, and use to sue the Tecnifibre X-One Biphase as the crosses, all strung at 55 lbs. However, the Tecnifibre strings simply did not last, so I convinced him to try these. Not only did he find that he liked these strings better than the Tecnifibre, but the last longer too, so it was a win-win all the way around.
I started using these about 5 years ago and love them. In the five years I have only broken about 2 strings. Wit all other strings they would break i about 30 hrs of use. However, the real reason I think they are so good is the power and spin I get with them. Hitting with topspin with these strings means you can't hit hard enough to hit the bal out. They have increased my consistancy a great deal and both my power and control have gone up. Bob
I've been using the Big Banger string for a while now. I put the mains in 2 pounds tighter than the crosses. Strings don't move and stay at their tension for great control and consistent play.
The ONLY string my son will use for power, control and touch.
These are good strings with enough comfort, spin and just the right amount of power. It's a great price for a Luxilon string, but just didn't last long enough in the open string pattern of my Wilson Steam 99s racket (about three weeks). Good string for big hitters since it's low powered, but is a little stiff. Overall a good string and would recommend it.
My son was breaking strings every two weeks which was getting very expensive. Our pro suggested switching to these and it has been a month and he hasn't broken one yet and they are still without frays. Very happy with these.
excellent string, perfect balance between power and control
best string ever !!! control, topspin, durability. Excelent product !
GREAT VALUE for the price! VERY durable for those who play 2-4 days per week, like I do!
perfect for me
Loved just about everything about this string. Strung it pretty low for a 18 gauge. I went with 52 lbs. Played about 2 hrs of doubles and singles for my high school team. I am a big counter puncher and love to play out a point and this string was great for that. Awesome power when needed but then amazing playability when approaching the net. LOVE this string and will continue to use it.
String helps generate all the spin you need yet let's you hit through the court, hard to imagine any string ever topping this formula
they never move! great feel, nice bite on the ball, give you that "pocketing" feeling of holding the ball just a little longer than other strings!
I love this string! It is a little less expensive than other high quality spin strings in the market, but it is still expensive to do a full bed of this (Which I don't think you should try...) I use this in a hybrid setup, and the amount of spin I got was so much more than the Big Banger alu power. All in all, I love this string because I tend to hit flatter strokes, and I need the extra spin. I will be using this in all of my tournaments!
It's always about, "feet-feet-feet," but what about "spin?" This string is about spin period. Love it.
Luxilon Big Banger string is very durable with very little movement from top spin and drop shots.
I have used this string as a full set, and as the mains in a hybrid with a natural gut. It really does respond well to big swings. I found it has expetional durability, and as a stringer, I find it easy to install.
Absolutely love this string, play a lot on clay and it definitely helps with adding that extra spin.
I got this string because I was unhappy with the the strings that I was using. All the types I tried and I tried about 5 or 6 were either too much spin and not enough control or too much power and not enough spin. I wanted a good string for spin and speed. This string delivers in a big way BOTH SPIN and POWER. And surprisingly has touch too-very unexpected. Anyway, I will no longer use anything else. DONE!
Good solid string with a lot of power and spin behind it. Strings felt dead for 1 hour, since than lots of pop and solid feel.
Great string. Love the feel, and it is very durable. I used it everyday for 2 months and it broke on the last day of summer
Great Polyester string that is awesome for hybrid stringing!!
