I went to this grip a few years ago when I was struggling with our hot, sweaty summers in Florida. Only grip I've used since then and several of my friends have also now switched. Don't just get the regular tac but make sure it says Mega Tac.
I have played tennis for over 20 years and try all types of overgrips, but this definitely is the best. I don't need to use Rosin Powder anymore, only dry my hand with a towel, and the mega grip comes back immediately.
This is a great overgrip, and it stays sticky for a really long time. I regrip after almost every 2 to 3 practices and after every match. If you do this, you should probably get the 30 pack. I will be buying this again!
i try others, but keep coming back to this one.
Pros: thin, mildly tacky Cons: not "ultra tacky feel"... my go to it megatac, it's not close in tackiness too short in length (can't do the fold over trick at the butt cap, and still doesn't cover long handles)
Using this grip and a tacky towel, I found the grip I like.
I love Mega Tac overgrips. These are the only type i use especially for hot, humid days when my palms get really sweaty. Tennis Point is out of the 10 quantity package, hope it comes back soon.
This grip tape is great for my son who is currently p,aying in 100 degree weather. This is a must for these tough situations.
Super tacky and long lasting .
I've tried them all and this is the only one that works for me! I play in South Florida all summer long. I couldn't hold the racket without this stuff. It's creepy tacky.
Love this overgrip! It truly does feel like it grips you back. Works really well for me because the original grip gets way too slippery after a couple hrs of play. Pretty durable also.
Nice grips
Needs about 2-3 hours of use before the tackiness levels settles down to a comfortable level. Beyond that break in period, it easily lasts 14+ hours for me. It's also not very absorbent, but I can get around that by blowing on my fingers or wiping down the grip a little bit between points. IMO, I love the ultra tackiness and durability that this grip provides, but it is best in cooler and less humid climates. Wilson or Gamma are my overgrips of choice during the summer months.
I played singles for 2 solid hours in 80 degrees and 80% humidity with a new install of this grip. I must say it held up fantastically. It stayed tacky throughout the play and I didn't need to use any rosin or tack cloth.
Good product. I like the high level of stickiness. But you should buy in quantity. It is expensive if you just buy three at a time.
It is a good product, I like the stickiness level. However, some people may think it is too sticky. Also always a good idea to buy in quantity. It is really expensive if you just buy three at a time.
I've tried many, many different overgrips and these are the best -- hands down. They are scary sticky.
I ordered the color black and I was very disappointed when it was delivered because it was grey. Overall however, I liked the grip, it was very sticky which I like. It also lasted longer then other grips I have tried.
Just the best grip! Works well in heat and cold
I sweat a lot. This overwrap really helps my grip with its tacky feel.
Super product. The non-Mega Torn product typically lasted 3-4 sets at best. I easily get double the performance with the Mega.
I am an aging but enthusiastic tournament player. I sweat a lot and go through many shirts during summer tournament matches. I have been looking for a grip that would "grip me back" and finally found this version of tournament grip. Best grip I've ever used. It's very tacky, which is perfect for me, and it stays tacky when wet!
Always want to try this OG and bought this alongside the normal Tac. It's real mega Tacky, however I prefer the other one.
I love Tourna Mega Tac. I have always used white...it's very sticky. I decided to order blue this time. Don't know why, but the blue is not as tacky as the white.
I like this overgrip because of the tacky feel that lets me relax my hand on the grip. When I serve and stroke lets the racquet do the work very happy with the grip
This is the tackiest overgrip I've ever tried. I play about 4 times a week and found it quite durable.
Really good grips. I've tested a lot and this is the one that seems to retain its grip thru a lot more humidity and sweat.
For some reason, the blue color of this over wrap is totally different than the white. The white has an excellent tackiness and lives up to it's claims. The blue has absolutely no tackiness...none.
As long as you don't need to change grips too much from forehand to backhand, this stuff is excellent especially in the heat and humidity of the summer months. Retains its stickiness much longer than the regular wraps.
Outstanding feel. If you dislike the dry gauze sort of feel from Tourna's original and prefer a smooth feel with great tack and no residue, here's your winner.
Always had issues with my racquet slipping out of my hands. This one is real tacky. Problem solved.
Works great.
It does what it says on the label. I live in Dubai and at the moment the humidity is awful but these grips have helped me keep a firm hold on the racket.
Great product if you seek a slight tacky grip. Lasts 3-4 plays.
Nice and tacky. Bought it for my son and he loves it.
I have been searching for the best tackiest over grip and this is it... I use to use the pacific xtac but this is even better. highly recommend!!
I bought this due to my sweaty hands and was pleasantly surprised. I previously played with the tourna grip, but wanted something with more tack and this product met the list. I was amazed by the durability of this product since the tourna grip would easily rip for me after a few games. The grip is very tacky! Just like the other review, the grip was too tacky at first but after a few practices it bends to the perfect amount of tack. Also, another thing I noticed is that the "black" grip is actually gray, but regardless, still a great product!
First grip I've used that has just what I need. I've small, sweaty hands so I change grip often because I constantly have slips. This has helped significantly to reduce slip and increase grip. I've recommended to others with similar or same issue. Also recommended to my tennis pro who can recommend to his clients who may have the same issue (he was impressed with the tackiness).
The prod desc says it is tacky which is why I bought it. At first, I thought it was just too much but after few use it feels comfortable and the tackiness drops a bit to perfect level. I used to my daughters 25inch racquet and she loved it. I'd buy it again
I like it and will use it again. Feels very good.
This is a good overgrip. It is not sweat absorbent as some of the other Tourna products, but it is a good product
I am a 4.5/5.0 player and instructor. I have used Wilson Pro overgrip for years. I decided to try this last week and played with it on my racquets for two hours. Amazing tackiness Maybe too much tackiness for players whose hands do sweat profusely. I will be ordering more after I post this review.
I am a 4.0 player. I just tried Mega tac for the first time, after using Tourna tac for quite a while. This product is fantastic. Six hard matches and it is still in good condition.
