I have always loved Pro Penn tennis balls. Our local clubs seem to be switching to the ATP brand of balls that fluff up in the first few minutes. Horrible balls! I have to buy these to use in my USTA matches. These are just good, solid tennis balls that play the way a tennis ball should play. I still don’t understand why the ATP and/or WTA tours have switched away from them. I guess it’s all about the dollar. Same goes for the clubs that have switched. Ugh!
The Pro Penn Marathon Extra Duty Tennis Balls are the only kind I will purchase. They are long lasting and very durable. There is not a better ball on the market.
Good quality tennis balls and exactly what I was looking for
As an older tennis player, I love hitting with these balls. The thicker cover slows them down a bit and they last longer. We are able to get 2 to 3 hits with each can while the balls still have good life. Definitely worth the extra price!
Balls hold up very well
Lasts longer, even with heavy hitters.
I prefer US open balls to play with, but they don't last long so these are a decent alternative... can play a couple sets, and still put them in the hopper for teaching/serving
We have been playing with this case of balls and are very disappointed with the quality for a “premium” ball. They are very hard and the level of bounce is very inconsistent with some balls being dead straight out of the can. Also, they have rubber tabs hanging off the seams which give bad bounces.
Love these balls. They last much longer than others. They're just a bit more BRIGHTER, making them easier to see.
Only ball to hit
I have been using these balls for years and by comparison if you’re playing on clay courts there is none any better,lThe color and the felt whatever they call it on the ball last 5 to 6 times more than any of the balls that you can buy in the Walmarts ,Target’s etc., especially in comparison to Wilson balls. Not happy with the fact that price went up, over a dollar per can, but my friends at the Tennis resort I go to now buy the balls for me when I order them by the case ,because they know these are our a lot better tennis balls than any that you can purchase over-the-counter, go Pro Penn marathon
As expected. Longest lasting ball in my opinion.
Great playing tennis balls!
Good playing balls.
good solid balls
The best balls on the market at a good price
Fresher than the balls that can be purchased locally
These are great tennis balls for hardcourt. Midwest processed and shipped the order immediately. It was appreciated.
They came on time. The tennis balls are very good quality.
Great quality balls, I only buy extra duty and Pro Penns are my fave.
These balls are worth the extra expense..they easily last for at least 3 sessions indoors....and Midwest had them while other companies were backordered!!
Good balls. Hold up to outdoor paved court play. Fair price, not cheap but service was prompt and clear.
Bought for use outside when cold. Referred to me as good bounce. Been warm here so maybe too much bounce. Will have to see if better suited for cold
Best tennis Balls made. I always get an extra set or 2 of play.
nice bounce
These balls are much better than any of those $2 cans (wilson, penn). They last twice as longer and still can be used for any low grade hitting like in a ball machine..
I teach tennis and these balls last longer than most other balls
These balls have held up quite well in the past. Hoping they are still manufactured the same way.
We feel like these balls are the most durable of all - as far as being true to bounce and lasting for a bit.
I usually always bought the cheapest Wilson balls. I decided to try Penn and I am now a lifetime Pennahualic
use them on hard court, felt holds up nicely and they keep their bounce longer than other balls i've tried.
I've been buying these for years. They play well and they last more than a set or two.
Great durable balls on hard court! I like them a lot.
Excellent playability. Long lasting. Why buy anything else...
Long lasting hard court balls. Fast shipping. really fast...like 2 days. and free shipping too... Slightly cheaper than a case of balls..
I really like these balls and the fact it only takes a few days to receive is great. Even with the shipping changes, the cases less expensive than I can buy them individually
I've used these balls for years because they clearly play longer than the standard balls.
Good durability, feels heavier than the regular penn championship balls, survives a few hours of hard hitting.
Top quality balls. I've been buying them for years. I don't have to open a new can every set. As a result, I consider them cheaper than cheap balls.
I am a 3.5-4.0 player - the Propenn balls are highly durable especially when compared to the more expensive Wilson US Open. Played 3+ sets and it still retained its bounce well. Others i played with also commented on the quality.
Very durable ball - the bounce lasted over 3 sets in match situation and i still use them as practice balls - Did not have the same observations with regular Penns or Wilson US Opens.
These balls cost a little more but bounce better and last longer making the additional cost well worth it
When opened new, it has a lot of bounce (more than Wilson), but retains playability well beyond a single 2-hour session. I play on gritty hard courts which can easily tear apart the felt on standard Wilsons and Penns. I hit with a lot of topspin, so I like any ball with a lot of bounce (slices sit up a little more, but not that much).
ProPenn Marathon tennis balls have a great bounce and are more durable than most balls on the market.
You can reuse these for a month before they lose the bounce.
These cost just a little more than cheap balls, but have better felt, longer-lasting pressure, and are used for almost all usta tournaments. They feel (are?) heavier than average. I like that, but you might not. Only downside: they suck up water like a sponge. On wet clay, that can make the game really slow.
I love these Penn tennis balls. Used to use Wilson and these have true bounce and lasts for several sets. My go-to brand from now on
These Penn balls are comparable to the Wilson Extra Duty balls with one important exception--they don't fuzz up nearly as much with use. If you not only want to play but also practice later with the balls you play with, choose these Penn balls.
One of the best balls! Highly recommend extra duty
Many of my friends buy somewhat less expensive balls at discount stores, but I think these balls are a better buy. I get much more play from a can, because the balls retain their bounce longer.
stable full-bodied ball. good bounce on angled shots.
Best ball going. Long wear on hard courts. All the balls feel the same off the racquet and bounce the same after long use. .
Just a great tennis ball. Hits a little heavier than the extra duty felt, but sure lasts a lot longer on hard courts.
It lasts very long time and very good for practice.
my daughter hits 3-5hr a day we use a 100 balls at a time and the Pro Penns just last longer we have some that are 100 days old and we still hit with them ! we open 3 new cans a week
I've played all the Wilson lines and can't stand the cheep penn big box brand that squirrel around off your racket. The pro penns are consistently the best easiest to see most durable solid hitting balls on the market. Save yourself some money and get these. They last me three or four hard played sets and are still good for rallying.
We decided to compare three sets of balls - Dunlop Grand Prix, Pro Penn Extra Duty, and plain old Penns (the cheap ones from Costco). The Pro Penn won hands down. They lasted the longest, kept a good bounce, and maintained good color for visibility. All balls are not equal so I am glad I took the time to test this for myself. I like ordering a case at a time as I love the convenience of having a fresh can for a spontaneous game and/or don't want to run to the tennis shop all the time.
Like the name this ball is meant to go the distance. They are my ball of choice for serve practice.
They last long even after a long hitting session. As a 4.5 player I usually use regular Penn balls once, but with these they last two-three times as long which is worth it!
This one of the best hard court balls that is currently being made. I used to like Dunlop Grand Prix but started to have issues with quality awhile back. The Penn Marathons last longer, have less defects (rounder and better seems), and are reasonably priced compared to other top-tier balls. I use these for both practice and game balls.
These are the finest tennis balls I have ever used. I have used every brand and these are the best.
This is the best tennis ball out there. Far superior to regular tennis balls. AND Midwest gives great service, too.
Have not used yet. Was delivered on time.
never found a ball with a more consistent feel and bounce
never found a ball with a more consistent feel and bounce
Love this ball... Seems to be just a millimeter larger than all the other Championship balls. The bounce is always perfect and the color a bit brighter...
since those balls came out about 15 months ago, I'm just playing only with it. Durable. not to heavy and good bounce... just perfect for me
best ball out there. great durability, great visibility with brighter color.
I used to use US Open balls, we play with them and then put them in our practice basket, we noticed we couldn't keep them in the basket as long because they were becoming dead sooner. we even opened quite a few cans over the the last couple of years that were still sealed put upon opening the can noticed after the first hit that they were dead! These Penn balls last longer, and after a year of using them have never opened a bad can. We travel to tournaments a lot and noticed an amazing number of clubs are using them that used to use the Wilson balls.
These balls last forever. I'm a 4.0 player who plays with a 5.0 player. We hit the ball pretty hard and they last set after set. More expensive but well worth the price. I have opened up two other cans of balls (Wilson US Open & Dunlop) for comparison. There truly is NO comparison. These balls last set after set.
Opened the can on Monday, played for two hours, and played with them again the following Monday. Excellent balls! Tom
fantastic!!!!
These are the best, most durable tennis balls I have ever played with. They play the same in the 5th set as they did in the first and are even good to hit with days and days after they were opened. Very HOT balls!
