We use this string as a blend with Luxilon and it provides great comfort and feel.
Great Quality, lower price & On time shipping
Tennis balls are one key ingredient of good games play on all surfaces. I buy this ball to teach my students.
This is a great string. It looses tension quick so I would account for that in the stringing unless you are going hybrid or per-streching them
About 15 years ago I tried many topspin strings and settled on Prince topspin. Then I discovered the Duraflex (PTD) version and it lasts twice as long -it's very forgiving and generates power when you have to. The string gives me good bite on the ball and gets it over the net but in the court. I've tried other hot-shot strings that the 'pros play with' that gave me more power but no control and also can't stand the metallic titanium feel - the guys who recommended those 'power' strings all have shoulder problems!. So back to PTD and all's well. Just ordered a dozen packs for the year.
Had my new Prince racquet strung with these. Wonderful feel, control, and power.
I was recommended to use this string by our club pro....love it. Have used nothing else since finding Wilson NXT.
I've been using this string for about two years and love it. I install it in a stiff frame at 45 LBS which gives a soft feel and great power. Furthermore, this setup gives great touch.
I choose this string out of many other competitors is because of price. Wilson sensation offers good comfort feeling without much sacrifice of durability and power. It is recommended if you are on budget with tennis equipment.
Excellent feel and control, along with comfort and good spin effect for Spin configured racquets. Used in Hybrid configuration with poly on the mains.
The racket has strong durability and maintain tension after a good a period of playing time. Like the control and spin created by the 17g string.
Awesome feel, if you want to "punch that volley" and want a "drop it like its hot" dropshot, that keep your oppnenent scampering...Look no more! Been using x 5 years and no tennis elbow ever! Mean sting...for mean pinpoint shots!
I consider NXT the standard by which all other multiilament strings are judged. It is my go to string for myself and others who want a gut like feel without the expense of gut. Not cheap, but a good value when you factor in playability. Great string.

Researching a bunch of strings and differences - went with this based on reviews and price - and I couldn't be happier! Will definitely restring with this when the time comes. Strung the Duraflex on 2- Prince Tour Pro 98's and we are very happy.
I love this string! It has long life and helps to generate power and bites the ball for spin too.
Very good over all.
Very crisp feel and unrivalled amount of spin. I always put these in the mains. They will saw through any main as a cross very quickly. I don't string it any higher than 55 pounds to avoid tennis elbow.
Good strings for durability and comfort.
with this string you can feel the power of a shot and do not loose the touch for drop shots or slicing. also when loosens it breaks fast . definitely will recommend
Perfect all around string for string breakers. Thinner gauge for better play and tension maintenance.
I have so much more power with this string but didn't lose any of the touch for drop shots or slicing. Will be using this exclusively from now on
I bought Ashaway Kevlar 360 ft Reel Tennis String Size: 16g. Excellent string to combine with multifilament like NXT.
Excellent tennis string at a great price for poly.
decent string for the $. easy on the arm. good durability.
This string has given me good control and spin. I use combined with Luxilon for power with good results. Great value for the price!
This is my go to string. It balances between spin and durability.
Great budget string try with a premium in the mains and sensation in the crosses
Great budget string try with a premium in the mains and sensation in the crosses
Prince Syn Gut 17G is a great buy. I hit flat with a head light racket and this string feels soft and provides great control when strung at 58 lbs. I wouldn't say that the playing properties last as long as other more expensive strings or that it provides maximum power but you can't beat the price and it will relieve some of the stress on your arm produced by stiffer strings.
I love this string. I usually string my racquets with poly mains and Gosen Proform on my cross strings, and o love the durability and the feel. It is a very good string to string and for the money you can't beat it. I string a lot of the guys I play tennis with during the week of all levels, and they love it. I have used this string for at least ten years, and I have nothing bad to say about it.
About five years ago one of my regular customers started me stringing his racquet hybrid with another string in the mains and sensation in the crosses. Now several customers want this string.
At only 19 dollars I bought this string to hybrid with a babolat string. It provides great pop for me on my ground strokes on the baseline. In my opinion is one of the best values for string on the market right now!
I used to try other strings but they didn't last long. After hitting with the Duo II strings, I found that the strings are more solid and last longer. I can hit with better spin. Midwest is one of the sellers that carry these strings. Ive been very happy with it over the past year.
I have a Wilson Juice 100S. This is the only string used in conjunction with Luxilon Big Banger Power Rough in the mains that would last more than 3 weeks without breaking. Have had these for 4 months and still holding up. Plays really well.
I love these strings especially combining them with a poly it lasts long and plays great!
It looks cool. It works good. The package it came in looks cooler then the one on the picture.
Gosen makes a quality made in Japan single core synthetic gut comparable to prince synthetic gut and other well known synthetic guts. I use it as a cross string in a poly/synthetic gut hybrid. The white version is a bit stiffer than the natural colored one. So if you prefer a softer string, get the natural color. I get a bit more spin on my serve using the 17 vs the 16 gauge.
I use this string a lot when stringing rackets in our retirement community. It is my string of choice and plays very well for senior tennis players. The quality and price of this string is great.
Provided longer play time than expected. Good grip on ball provided better control of shots
This is my first ever reel of strings. I'm a cheapy, so this was a great value. I strung a full bed on my friend's Prince TT, and he said it felt good. I've read that a hybrid would work better, so I'm looking forward to doing that on my Gamma Tour 320x. Great racquet btw.
Love the price for a quality string that lasts a while.
Prince Syn Gut with Duraflex is the best synthetic gut available. I have strung many racquets with different types of synthetic and this one definitely lasts the longest and is the perfect combination with a polyester string. I use it for all levels, from beginners who string their whole racquet with this, to highly competitive players who use a hybrid.
This string is a bargain for the price. It won't generate the spin of a poly but it plays quite well and has good durability. It also makes a nice choice for hybrid set-ups.
Solid all around string. Not hard on your arm like a poly and much more durable than the multifilaments.
I have been loyally using the PSGD since long ago. I absolutely love the feel of the strings. One thing though, is that they don't last as long as I thought they would. However, for the cheap price, you can't beat it.
I bought this reel solely for the purpose of using it as a cross string in a hybrid with a poly. They work great and I wouldn't hesitate to use them with any polys. I also use them for my customers who don't prefer a specific synthetic gut in their racquet. They are cheap, and very efficient as well! Great buy.
It holds up longer than regular NXT with my Wilson Ripskin mains. Great control, pop and spin in my Wilson pro-staff XS 100.
Good string for the price. Soft feel.
Awesome strings.
Love this string...easy on the arm, especially for a poly. String Aeropro Drive at 58 to 61 pounds
I love these strings. Used them for years.
I start to use my new Blade 104 with it, and i think it best strings to begin. Then i'll try recomended strings: NXT Tour and Control.
I love this string, previously used a combo poly & syn gut. I like this a lot better. Has great feel & the power is good. It is holding up well. I like it because now I can use this for mains & crosses.
I use it to restring racquetball racquets and is very durable and playable.
Gut-like feel. Not as durable as he high-end gut I was using, but a much lower price.
I like it because it is cheap and has some good feel.
Good durable string that works well as a cross string when paired with a firmer (RPM, Crossfire, etc.) main string.
I HAVE USED THis STRING FOR OVER TEN YEARS. OCCASIONALLY I HAVE TRIES OTHER STRINGS AND HAVE ALWAYS BEEN DISAPPOINTED WHEN COMPARED TO THE NXT17G. EXCELLENT POWER, EXCELLENT FEEL AND DURABLE. GREAT FOR A MID PLUS RACQUET.
You can't fairly rate a string unless you consider how much you pay for it. This string is an awesome value. A 660' reel for $17 ???? Are you joking. I've been using this string as my "base" level string for my customers and everyone loves it, considering the price. Sure, there may be players that "think" their game deserves more, and maybe that's a valid point for some. But this string is every bit what most people need.
Used this as a median or middle-of-the-road string to see what characteristics players want on their rackets, e.g. Firmer, softer, durability, etc.
Although this string is very stretchy, it is very powerful, long lasting, and easy on the arm. I string it at 45 lbs, ala John McEnroe.
Put this string in a few friends racquets as well as my own. Everyone loved the control.
This Wilson string is great for the money. Easy to work with while stringing and even better on the court. This string also helps reduce elbow and shoulder shock. Overall it is a nice string for the money.
The string is an excellent value and plays very similar to the gamma synthetic gut, but at a lower price. The lower cost does allow me to play around with string tensions without worrying too much about price. I also string my own rackets, about 1 per month, I play about 3 - 4 times per week.
I've used this string exclusively for about 4 years now. I like the balance between the softness of the gut and durability of the synthetic. I string the gut on the mains and the synthetic on the crosses to further decrease vibration and increase power. Try decreasing the tension on the gut 2-3 points lower than your synthetic to keep a better balance longer.
Love this string. Been playing Prince Syn Gut 17 for over a year now but just switched to the Lightening XX. Same great feel with a bit more pop. And I love supporting the breast cancer foundation with the fun pink color.
Finally found the most durable 17 multifilament cross string with Luxilon for my racquet Blade Black 93 strung. It is the best hybrid for my groundstroke style and with control and precision.
I use this in my crosses with a poly in the mains. It is durable and helps we go a little longer between string jobs.
Very soft and responsive, yet powerful. Best string I've found for volleys and serving. Excellent string for a control/precision racquet like Head Prestige Pro MP. Continues to be my favorite string. Very happy that it is now available in black.
I tried various types of strings since I started to play tennis. I had tried the super expensive and the relatively inexpensive strings. The Prince Syn Gut is by far the best strings. I mixed this string with the Tecnifibre strings to get the power and touch combo that many intermediate players like. For $5, y ou can't go wrong with this.
Seems working fine. First time using this string. Nothing I don't like so far.
Prince Synthetic Gut Duraflex is a great all around string. It's a tried and true classic and every stringer should always have a reel in stock. Works great in a hybrid or in a full bed.
While a bit pricey, I love the feel the natural gut gives and the control and spin provided by this hybrid...I'm a placement type player, prefer net action, not a baseline player, playing three times a week.
I string a lot of rackets for folks in my area. This is the most requested string even with all of the new string types available. It is very easy for the stringer and very durable and predictable for the player.
I'm pleasantly surprised with these strings. I strung them a little looser than usual for me and gained a little power and spin.
My brother told me to try the Willson NXT Tour string and it is great. The feel is real nice and I got a little xtra spin when I dropped my tension to 61. It is a bit pricey but you gotta pay for good products and this string is no different. Just for the record, I really like Midwest sports over all the other stores. Thanks guys and keep up the good work.
Like the power and control along with needed elbow comfort.
A good buy. Very easy on the arm and gut like playability.
Great feel and spin. Fits the ProStaff 100 to a tee.
Very powerful and comfortable string. Good string if you have arm/elbow issues.
I am on the court 4+ times a week, and these 17 gauge strings have relieved my tennis elbow. I am on my fourth set, and they last about 2 - 3 months.
Great string, however I did like the K-Gut better, which Wilson discontinued.
These strings lasted surprisingly long. I got about four or five months playing on average once a week for an hour or so each time. I hit with a lot of spin and they held up nicely. They started to fray pretty early but held on for quite awhile. The feedback is decent and they aren't too stiff for a player's string. I would get them again.
Very sweet string with exceptional feel and comfort. A bit pricey, but acceptble since I string my own racquets, and it's proven very durable. I use the 17 gauge on my Head Ti Radicals (107) strung at 64 lbs.
I bought these strings because of a good word from a friend of mine. They are very easy on the arm. I use the Prince O3 White racket and have a medium swing speed. With these strings, I serve effortlessly and when volleying, I have total control. The only thing that would make these strings better is if they lasted longer. I've had them for 2 weeks and play constantly and they're almost done. But, overall, I would certainly recommend these to any player.

I tried this string in an attempt to find a string that was both arm friendly AND durable. I use a Wilson Juice 100 strung at 50#. This hybrid had wonderful feel but unfortunately only lasted about 5 hrs of singles play. That makes it too expensive for me to use. I am now trying Luxilon 4G. Report will follow.
I have been playing with Wilson NXT strings since they came out on the market. I switched from NXT 17 to the Tour NXT 18. It plays great. Excellent feel, spin potential, control, and comfort.
