I love the Radical line and this racquet is no exception.
The name the people's racquet is true for this racquet. I have always been drawn to these styles of Racquets (Pure strike, Ezone, etc) but this one stands out! I personally like this model better than the new model!
I feel incredible when I play. The racquet is very friendly and I feel security and power when I play.
This frame has more flex (65) than the previous Radical Pro (68) and is a bit lighter. That took me a bit to adjust to, but by increasing string tension I was able to acclimate and am happy with the performance I’m achieving. A bit more pop on serve and it’s very maneuverable based on the lower weight.
Going from an older ProStaff 6.1 to this, significant feel difference in the weight of the head. Fun to swing, consistent at volleys, groundstrokes, and easy to get spin on. Only reason why I haven't given it 5 stars is it doesn't seem to have quite as much pop on the serve.
Head Radical MP Review Head size: The Head Radical MP has a head size of 98 square inches, which is considered a medium-sized head with a good balance of power and control. Weight: The Head Radical MP weighs approximately 11 ounces (without strings). In my experience, this is a medium weight for a tennis racquet, providing enough weight to generate power while still being easy to maneuver. String pattern: The string pattern of the Head Radical MP is 16x19, which means that it has 16 main strings (vertical strings) and 19 cross strings (horizontal strings). I used RPM Blast and this pattern provides a good combination of power and spin. Balance: The balance point of the Head Radical MP is a 7-point headlight, which means that the head of the racket is slightly lighter than the handle. This helps to provide good control and maneuverability. Overall, the Head Radical MP is a versatile tennis racket with a good balance of power and control. We recommend it for intermediate to advanced players who are looking for a racquet to help them improve their game.
I got an ultralight racquet due to shoulder pain, but couldn't get enough power with it. I felt like that was going to create a different type of strain. With the Head Radical MP, even though it weighs considerably more than an ultralight racquet--it's a full ounce heavier than I thought I wanted--it doesn't feel heavy. And the rounded edges of the frame help you keep the ball in play even when you mishit. It's just a comfortable, easy racquet to play with. Even though I'm still working on my form, I can play with this racquet for hours without pain. I liked it immediately the first time I played with it. There is nothing I dislike about it. If it's unavailable, I'd suggest the Head Extreme MP, which I also liked quite a bit.
I am a 4.5 level 40+ recreational player that competes on the USTA league and tournament circuit regularly. I demoed this racquet in stock specs with Lynx Tour 17g at 52lbs, and fell in love immediately. This stick allows me to hit whatever shots I want from all parts of the court. The best part was access to easy power while retaining the crucial elements of fine touch/feel, and directional control over the ball. It was uncanny and felt surreal but I found myself playing more creative and aggressive tennis than before. My confidence has shot up significantly, and I look forward to being on the court even more.
I like the balance of this racket. I switched to this to get a bit more power and balance. I really love it. It is also easier on my arm.
Loved everything about this model - solid all around - enjoyed the nice feel as soon a I picked it up.
It was a solid racket but for some reason I didn't connect with it.
I tested the Radical MP along with the Pro and chose the MP. The Pro was too heavy for me, as I am a 4.5 level, 5'-4", 140 lb. woman, and the Pro, although I loved the plow through on ground strokes, was too much for me to wield on volleys and serve. I play only doubles these days, and The Radical MP works well for me. It has good power and control, and I am also able to get a good pop on my serve. I would recommend this racket to any woman (can't speak for men), that is at least a high 4.0 level player, and might not be big enough to handle the Radical Pro's weight.
I've really struggled to find the right racquet. Demoed six of them. Choose this one on a lark and ended up buying it. Opted for Babolat RPM + Excel hybrid. I've never seen such a drastic improvement in my game. And easy on the 51 year old elbow. A real joy.
The best head racquet I have played with. Gives me so much control, smooth contact with a ball and amazing to play with. The paint is so cool!
I demoed this racket and had a great time with it. It had effortless power feel and control and the racket was very maneuverable. It was plush without losing the crisp feel that I have grown to enjoy. It was great on serves, but I am curious what string will work best in this racket
This is a great racquet for me. I had been using the previous year's model of the Radical S and moved up to this one for some more stability and oomph. It is playing very well for me right now and seems to generate enough power even though I have it strung tightly with multi @ 57. I'm kind of a racquet-a-holic but I like this one enough that it may be my go-to for a while. It seems to do everything well and is right in the middle in terms of swingweight, which is a sweetspot for me. I am always impressed with how fast I get a racquet strung and shipped from this site.
I hit great with a demo head radical racket. I purchased this one thinking it was the same but has a completely different feel to it. oh well. 3 stars for me.
I’m 60 and have not played played in 40 years. After a 2 years of lessons, drills and playing tennis it was time for a new racquet.Demoed 12 most popular and most recommended for my level 3 to 3.5.This racquet felt comfortable controllable I started to feel and play like I could make any shot from baseline too net play.Consistency and Confidence with Head Graphene 360+ Radical MP!
