Favorite gut string
This shopper rated the product 5 out of 5 stars

Love these gut strings! I switched to natural gut a couple of years ago, and started using this specific string over a year ago, and I love the feel; it offers great touch shots, and even on my mis-hits, I still get great results. I'm a fan for life!

The string plays well, but for my style of game shredded and snapped rather easily. will try 16G next.

Have been using VS natural gut strings for over 50 years. I think the Babalots VS 17 gauge offers the best response and feel. Also the absorption of the pace leaves the elbow always feeling young.

Love the feel and feedback you receive on all shots. The string is able to defuse the opponents spin allowing me to take control of the point.

Babolat VS Team 17G Natural Gut

VS 17 G provides predictable control and feel. Easy on the arm and shoulder. Have been using gut for decades. Have experimented with other string types and hybrid set-ups but always return to gut. Male, 4.0 player, mid-atlantic states.

Comfortable Crosses
This shopper rated the product 5 out of 5 stars

I am a solid 4.0 men's player and switched from a full bed of poly to having Babolat VS Team 17g in the crosses because of a tendency to develop tendinitis behind my elbow. This setup work extraordinarily well. I get all the benefits of the poly mains (spin, control) while softening the string bed and adding some feel with these crosses. I love the setup.

Babolat VS Team 17G Natural Gut
This shopper rated the product 5 out of 5 stars

I use Babolat VS Team 17G Natural Gut in a hybrid setup with Luxilon 4G. Natural gut in the mains at 60lbs and luxilon in the crosses at 56lbs. I switched to this setup about 6 months ago because of arm pain. The combination of comfort, control, and feel that the Gut gives this setup is amazing. I can hit angles that I am unable to hit with other strings. Plenty available spin and power. By far my favorite setup at the moment. Previous strings I have played with are full beds of Babolat RPM, Solinco Hyper G, Luxilon 4G. I chose the gut with the combo of Luxilon 4G because both of these strings have the lowest percentage of tension loss of their respective counter parts so I find that playability lasts a long time right up until the strings break. I am a solid 4.0 player.

STILL THE BEST
This shopper rated the product 5 out of 5 stars

I did not use it for a while. I used other brands natural gut. I came back to this Babolat 17 because of the PRICE DROP which Midwest offered: I am happy that I did it. I am using it on the RF97 Autograph, with a tension of 56. Whole bed. It really sounds amazing and the FEEL makes all the money...I realized that this is still the best. At the price at which Midwest offered it, I do not regret that I bought the 17 gauge. A set will last me at least 1.5 month. The PLEASURE of hitting with it is huuuuge!

Premium Gut, little short on length

Premium gut string. Nothing to complain about the quality. Wish they provide a little more length in the package for stringing purposes.

Babolat VS Team 17G Natural Gut
This shopper rated the product 5 out of 5 stars

The "good", I rate this string with superlatives: the best "feel", the best "pocketing", easiest power, best control. The "other": Prince graphite tour, 93 sq. in., strung at 58, used on mains; have 12 sets on this string job, after 6 sets there is noticeable fraying but no string movement; after 12 sets a little more fraying and just a hint of string movement - still using racquet with confidence, wanting to see how long string job will last. I use moderate topspin and hit out at the ball. Cross strings are a top quality multifilament. This gut is simply the best, and worth the cost to me.

Lots of motion

I get significantly more motion on my serve and ground strokes with this string. You really notice a difference and it is more fun having additional weapons in your game.

Great Feel
This shopper rated the product 3 out of 5 stars

Best playing gut ever used. Great feel, control & power. Very kind to tennis elbow. Only complaint is it breaks very easy. It lasts me 2-6 weeks on average Doesn't wear out but snaps! 4.0 player in mid 50's play 3-4xs weekly & hard ball striker

Great Gut!
This shopper rated the product 5 out of 5 stars

I especially like this natural gut for its feel and the fact that it helps to lessen the chance that I'll get tennis elbow. I play on HarTru courts in Florida all year, so the dampness and the grit help wear it out, but I usually can go for a couple of months before it breaks. I'm between 3.5 and 4.0 and mostly play doubles (I'm 70 years old, if that matters).
