Great racket, it’s my preferred choice… Great for intermediate to advanced players.
I'd been playing with an 18x20 "player's racquet" for over a decade when I decided I needed to move to a more contemporary racquet to take the next step in my game as I get older, play in more leagues and tournaments, etc. After weeks of demoing over a dozen racquets, this was almost the one that I went with, going so far as to demo it a few times. I really wanted to like it as it actually gave me the biggest boost in serve speed Its biggest problem was the feel; to me, it had a "jangliness" or "hollowness" in every stroke that wasn't for me. It contributed to a feeling of unpredictability, especially on volleys, even though the results were always what I wanted. A very odd thing: I was often surprised by my own shots, which is maybe a good thing, but just didn't inspire confidence. All that said, it did great things: big spin at the baseline, big power and accuracy on the serve, and despite feeling a bit unwieldy (high twist weight?), more touch than expected at the net.
I am a long time Pure Aero fan, however, was nervous about this slightly different string pattern. However, once I was able to demo the racquet I loved it immediately. For me personally, it almost feels lighter even though it is the exact same weight as my previous Aero. The striking feels lighter in the volleys, lighter/faster in the groundstrokes, etc. I am a fan after just two weeks!
I found this racket to be very controllable in ground strokes and having a great sweet spot with the condensed string pattern on this frame. Top spinners will love this racket! Great control with spin! Provides good power for serves. No negatives here. Been playing with this racket for 6 months. Also have Pro Drives and older Aeros. This one is my favorite. 4.0/4.5 player.
As a 4.5 level tennis player. I have always played with Babolat for the following reasons. I really like the Babolat Aero a lot in regards to power (thanks to RPM Blast) awesome feel for the ball to generate heavy topspin and that I’m very particular that this model is 300 grams, and has a 16x19 string pattern. Thank you Tennis-Point!! 💪
I like the feel of this racquet and easy maneuverability. Powerful, yet offers good control. Stiff enough yet seems arm friendly.
Liked the weight and the feel. Easy to use.
This is my third generation Pure Aero. Still trying to adapt to it. Good racquet. This version seems to have great control, more spin but less power than the previous version.
This is an awesome racket. I bought it as a gift for my partner who I have been training for about 3 years. The weight (300g) and playability make it a great frame for both advanced players and intermediate players transitioning from a lighter frame. It provides the power and spin you'd expect from a babolat aero racket, but with more control than past generations - the overall launch angle feels lower, which to me is a plus. Playability aside, it sports a great color cosmetic.
Great product at a great price!
I am a 3.5 player. I play recreational tennis and I participate in local leagues. So far I have nothing negative to say about this racquet. I like the way it feels. My game has improved ever since I have started to play with this racquet. Everything they describe about this racquet is true. I bought it at Tennis Point. Their service was excellent and fast. I chose Babolat Xcel 16G for string, tension was 55.
This racquet is awesome. It feels smooth to hit, allows for good control, spin, and power. It also has a great sound to it. I had previously hit with the 2019 version as well as the lite. I liked both of those models as well. This model feels similar, as it it the same size, weight, and frame width. The string pattern is a little tighter in the center with this newer version, which is designed to give a bit more control than the 2019. Supposedly the power and spin potentials are reduced a bit with this 2023 model in order to give it more control. I'm still able to get plenty of power and spin with this model, however, and for me having the added control is important. I strung it at 54 pounds, which is a little looser than my previous racquet, in order to gain back a little of that power. I'm in my mid-40s and I hit the ball hard, so I need a racquet that will be gentle on my elbow and shoulder. This one is terrific in that regard.
I was able to get better head speed with this racket in relation to other demo rackets and the Pure Aero 2019 model.
Babolat and tennis point never disappoints
I've been playing with the 2019 Pure Aero and truly love the racket. When the 2023 came out I decided to try it. I'm a lefty and my backhand slice is my weapon. With the new tighter string bed I thought I might lose some spin. Not the case whatsoever. My spin is awesome and control and feel with this racket is better than any racket I've ever owned. I love it so I bought a second one.
Fantastic racquet. Gives me more power and better control. I hit a heavy, deep ball. The ball seems to stay on my racquet longer.
Feels good and perhaps it is the best racket I have ever played with. This is my Third Pure Aero and by far the best, Quicker on the back hand and perhaps better to serve with. More control
Always happy with Babolat products
Love it. Super stoked!
