Material has a rubbery spongy feel once applied and cured. After calling the manufacturer, I learned that this product is not suitable for cracks larger than 1/8". I wish this was on the description before I purchased this product. The material will tear when using on cracks larger than 1/8", material has a latex feel and can puncture, tear at the edges. This is less prone for smaller cracks but definitely the wrong product for cracks larger than 1/8" wide. Would recommend for small cracks though.
On a family vacation property in No. Maine there was an old tennis court built back in the early 1980's. The court had fallen into a state of major disrepair over the years but after walking it earlier this summer I figured I could salvage enough of the old court to create a pickleball court. I learned of the Novacaulk product from Tennis Point Midwest after searching for potential products online. I spent many hours down on my hands & knees filling in the many cracks with this product but it comes ready to use (no mixing) and with the rubberized spreading tool provided it was easy to apply. It also comes in a variety of colors which was helpful. (I ordered "grass green") In addition I bought some white line paint from Tennis Point too. I found ordering these products from Tennis Point to be easy and they were very responsive with the products delivered to us in a matter of days. While the court is still far from perfect, these products definitely got it in a playable state very quickly as drying time was only four hours. I got eleven of my relatives indoctrinated to pickleball and they all loved it! I will continue with further improvements next summer and plan on trying another surfacing product offered by Tennis Point to make everything more level & uniform in color.
The product was easy to use in filling in large crack and clean up was a breeze.
As usual with projects like this prep work was 99 percent! Novacaulk was easy to work with and appears to cover well. Color was as advertised and blended well. Time will tell on how it holds up.
Easy to use and spread over small cracks on your tennis court. Works well in keeping water out of cracks (and ants). You'll need to fill in larger cracks with sand or gravel first and then use this on top of it.
