These shoes were wide enough for my advanced bunion feet. However, whatever the soles are made of, they have been EXTREMELY sticky on 3 different court surfaces I have been on. Two times in the past 8 months I have had them grip/stick while running after a ball, and I have fallen. Both times I hit my head and came away with black eyes, head lumps, and various other injuries. I am looking for another shoe. Sadly, no other brand makes shoes as wide as these. I agree with a prior person who indicated that yes, they are nice and wide, but they are also clunky. Add Sticky to that list.
I read another review with the same issue I had with my 1007. They split on the side of the shoe. It wasn't a defect because my second pair also split in the same place. They are comfortable however they just don't last very long. Poor lateral support.
Great shoe EXCEPT sidewall split in a week. Replaced and second pair did the same thing. Had to go to a different brand. Would really like New Balance to address this issue. Would gladly come back to this shoe IF the sidewall was stronger.
Material on side is extremely weak. Split first time on court. Replaced. Second pair split in same location. Bad design/material.
This shoe was wider than all the 4E tennis shoes I have tried through the years. The wideness left me feeling clumsy when I ran. They were also super heavy.
