New Balance Fresh Foam LAV Mens Tennis Shoe

This is an excellent shoe for a mobile player that runs all-out for shots and demands a high performance shoe that is sturdy, form fitting, and comfortable. Simply the best court shoe I have worn. The sock-like inner of the shoe holds my feet securely, yet comfortably and the balance is the best I’ve found. The sole may not be the longest lasting but I have taken advantage of the 6 month ware warranty which makes this shoe an exceptional value. If you like to run hard for shots, give this one a shot!

I'm a 9.5 size in Solecourt Boosts and Barricades. I saw a good deal for these New Balance LAV foam shoes and saw the reviews were overall pretty good. However, after wearing it for three sessions of tennis, my achilles is incredibly sore. I'm limping around because of how tight the back upper is. It actually bends into my achilles. When I slide my foot halfway out of the shoe, my achilles takes a breath of relief. I thought there would be a break in period and typically I'd feel tightness along the sides of my feet but I don't get that. I'd warn anyone away from these shoes. It grips the court fine and playing on it does feel lighter than it actually is. However, having had torn my achilles previously, I know better than to play around in these shoes. It's 2 stars because outside of the achilles, the shoe feels good.
