New Balance 996v6 (2E) Mens Tennis Shoe

The sneakers look good, and are quite comfortable.

These shoes are very stiff out of the box and the soles need to be bent to loosen them up before wearing. They are not the most comfortable shoes that I've worn but they are the most sure footed and stable while playing on the court. Cushioned socks help. I would buy them again.

Title says it all. Bought plenty of the 996v4 and especially 996v5 and thought v6 would be incremental improvement, but if you really need 2E Wide, they redesigned the v6 to be way too narrow. Similar complaints posted in many places so steer clear if you actually need 2E width shoes since they changed something here....

I received my 996v6 size 2E and they were so tight I couldn't get my foot in the shoe. I've ordered other New Balance shoes in 2E and they have been fine. These shoes are definitely not wide shoes. Love everything else about the shoe but can't wear them. Unfortunately they don't have a wider size in that shoe.

I bought these thinking that all 2E NB shoes were similar. That doesn't appear to be the case. I do really love these shoes though. I'm going to continue giving them a try.
