Was happy to find a shoe in my size. Replacing my old pair same edition. They lasted about 6 months. Wish they’d hold up longer. This new pair came with the white laces stained navy in one spot, which I don’t love but can live with.
My son overall says the shoe is comfortable, but the tongue is not padded and the laces are uncomfortable across the top of his foot.
My husband has narrow long flat feet, and I have wide feet with high arches, and somehow these shoes are super comfortable for both of us. The toe bed material and soft and fits like a sock. The heel is nicely padded and also stable (I twist easily and have plantar fasciitis, so needed both). I love these. Definitely ordering a second pair. Not sure how long they will last, but they are super to play in. Previous shoes were NIKE (the worst IMO), Adidas (mixed feelings), and Babolat, which I liked a lot as well but they were narrow.
I came from Nike, as they seem to make increasingly worse shoes after discontinuing the 9.5, and am really happy. These are much, much lighter than any other durable shoe out there (Nike Vapor 11- 15.6oz, Nike Cage 4- 15.8oz, Asics Gel Res 8- 15oz), and incredibly durable. I went to Asics Gel Res 8 for a while after Nike and found that they were good shoes but still heavy and didn't have the durability I needed for hardcourt. I could go through a pair of Vapor 9.5s in a month, whereas I have 2 weeks of solid playing on these with very little notice on the outsole - going to make the 6mo warranty difficult! I will be buying more. Would love it if they made an all-white shoe that they kept year round, as most of the designs are not to my taste, personally. Less is more. Design aside, the shoe is fantastic and a hidden gem amongst the tennis community.
I have been a big believer in Mizuno products for years. Having owned several sets of Mizuno irons (including the 919 Tours I currently play), I had high expectations for their hardcourt shoe line. I am happy to say my high expectations may not have been high enough! First, I was very happy with the look of the shoes as soon as I took them out of the box. The looked nice in pictures but look even better in person. If style is important, these will definitely please your eye. Secondly, the shoes are very light. I really enjoy covering ground during my matches and this shoes is guaranteed to not hold you back. having come from Nike shoes, these feel featherlight in comparison which is a welcome change of pace. And lastly, even though these shoes are light, you aren't going to sacrifice any comfort. I have played 8 matches in these shoes in the last 10 days and have absolutely zero complaints about the comfort these give. They may not be ultra-plush, but the fit of the shoe makes up for any shortfalls provided by the foam. In short, if Mizuno would make a tennis racquet, I would be first in line to buy it!
