Kirschbaum Touch Multifibre 17G (1.25mm) Tennis String
KirschbaumI purchased a new Baboat Pure Aero Tour 2019 racket from Tennis point and requested Kirschbaum Touch 17 gauge strings strung at 58 lbs. The racket is my fourth Pure Aero racket, but the first of the 2019 vintage. I like the Pure Aeros for their combination of spin and control. When the racket arrived, it tested at 55 lbs. The strings had to be re-aligned after every exchange after a few minutes of practice, an indication of very loose strings. The racket/string combination felt very soft; lacking in control. After less than an hour of practice, tension was reduced to 51 lbs. Upon inspection, I noticed stretch marks in the mains, which is indicative of the string being pulled through the stringing machine clamps. This is a disappointing result for a new racket and string combination. In the future, I will be stringing the racket myself with my usual choice - Technifibre NRG2 17 gauge strings in order to give the racket a fair audition. It likely is not the fault of the Kirschbaum strings, but I won't take another chance on Kirschbaum strings based on this experience.
The best multi-fiber string that I have used. You should give it a try. Great feel.
If you're an intermediate player, playing 2-3 a week, this poly string is definitely a must try. I've been playing with it for more than 5 years. Great durability, very comfortable on the arm/elbow and excellence on control/depth for my topspin shots. I have not found a better string.
One of the best multifiber strings I've tried, excellent strung as a hybrid with Poly in the mains.
Very good over all.
