'Rough' string for gripping results
This shopper rated the product 5 out of 5 stars

'Rough' string thoughts - it does 'grip' the ball SLIGHTLY longer for more control, especially combined with a stringing tension of 36 lb

Hybrid Heaven

I tested these out - because of the bargain price of $6/set if you buy two - in two different hybrid setups. My recommendation is don't use a multifilament with these in the crosses. You will be adjusting strings after every point as I did. Unless you wax them, these Pro Line Rough will shave and notch the softer string after one session. Once this happens the mains don't slide back in to position hence the need for readjustment. During the second session, neither crosses or mains would move back into place as they should and my play was not better than playing with six year old 15G nylon :( I waxed the strings between sessions and have got new, responsive play out of them. Because of the texture I wouldn't be in a hurry to try these in a full bed set up. It is probably ain't worth the effort. However, if you want to hit with heavier spin and push your opponent five or more back behind the baseline to return your ground strokes, these are strings worth trying in a hybrid setup with a smooth synthetic gut in the crosses and these in the mains. I will admit I haven't tried a lot of different strings but Pro Line Rough really grip the ball and delivers some sick spin on slice/kick serves, ground strokes and slices. By far the best poly for the price!
