Kirschbaum Max Power Rough 18G (1.20mm) Tennis String
KirschbaumThis is great string that has allowed me to impart the spin on the ball that I have been wanting.
I bought these because they were on sale and I had just played with Kirschbaum's Pro Line II Rough for a couple of weeks in a couple of different hybrid set ups. After I finish this review I will order another couple of sets of this string while it is still on sale because it doesn't pull any punches. The Pro Line II Rough 18G delivers an abundance of spin, but Max Power Rough 18G does it with precision and it seems like a few more revolutions to boot. If spin and control is your game, whether you are spin doctor, master of slice or heavy top spinster, you might want to give this string a try. FYI: I strung in the mains 10% under what I do with synthetic gut and played it with both synthetic gut and multifilament crosses. SG is better as the slicker surface allows mains to move back into position. With the mulit string I used, Prince Premier, I found myself adjusting strings after about four hours of play because the crosses were not slippery enough.
I love Kirschbaum strings and this is another winner, very much like alu power rough for a lot less money.
