I absolutely love this racquet. I've been playing with the 2024 Pure Strike 16x19 for several weeks now and it was everything I was looking for and more! It's definitely a more control-oriented frame when compared to the Pure Aero or Pure Drive, but offers more pop than the traditional control-oriented frames such as the Head Prestige and Wilson Pro Staff. I was previously playing with the Wilson Six One 95 16x18 and while I had great results with that racquet over the past several years, I wanted something with a little more power. One day, I decided to pull out an older Pure Strike I had in my bag (2nd gen, 18x20), and found myself enjoying it more than the Wilson Six One 95 from the baseline. However, it felt quite lighter than the Six One 95 and the stiffness of the older Pure Strike led to golfer's elbow, which led me to try the 2024 Pure Strike. The 2024 version is definitely not as stiff and I was able to resolve the weight/balance issue I was having by replacing the original grip with a leather grip. I really enjoy using the 2024 Pure Strike from all areas of the court, especially the baseline, and don't see myself changing racquets again any time soon!

This is a 9.5 racket. The only area I’d want slightly better is maneuverability, but improving that would probably come at the cost of control or stability. It’s way better than version 3. It feels softer, yet still gives you that crisp strike feel and precise control, allowing you to decide when to hit flat or add more topspin. There’s no such thing as a perfect 10/10 racket, but a 9.5 probably makes this a top 3 among all 98-square-inch rackets in my opinion.

I have played with Pure Strikes since the first generation. This one is the best yet. I was concerned that Babolat is no longer making my 4 5/8 grip size; however, the Midwest product team arranged to build up a 4 1/2 grip to 4 5/8. I was skeptical from past experience that the feel would be the same, but now having played with the racquet the bevels feel the same and the racquet overall is great. Kudos to Midwest.

It definitely feels like an upgrade from the last version. Easy to control and gives you a good balance of power and spin. The design feels solid and responsive, so you can hit the ball just the way you want.
