Asics Solution Lyte 3 Mens

I am a fan of Asics shoes, the Solution Slam 2 were one of the best I had. They offered one of the best balances between endurance and light weight (my main ask from tennis shoes). This pair feels pretty stiff after a month and about a dozen wears, and very unusually for me, it blistered my toe on the outside of the right foot. Twice! These shoes may still score high on endurance (I usually go through a pair in 2-3 months, Solution Slam lasted 5), but comfort is definitely a low score for me. I'd say they are true to size, or maybe less than half a size too small. No issues otherwise.

I have owned the Asics Gel Solution Slam 2 shoe (actually went through 2-3 pairs) and it was one of the best models I owned. Sadly, that model is presently not widely available, and if so, is pretty expensive. Hence, my attempt at the Gel Solution 3 Lyte. It looks good, and seems a bit more rigid than the Solution2 model. That impression has been confirmed when I wore it first time - unlike the Solution 2, this one definitely needs breaking in. Now, having worn it a few times I think it is becoming softer and more "molded" around my feet, although still feeling a bit stiffer than I am used to. During the break-in had very minor calluses on outside toes, but I rode the shoes hard for 2 hours on a concrete court on the first wear, so that is probably on me. I want my shoes light, low riding, comfortable and durable (need them to last at least 4-5 months). Can't comment on durability yet (but hoping for a good showing due to rigidity), I am fairly satisfied on all other sides, although not as good as the Gel Solution 2.

Usually wear the Gel solution speed but wanted to try this since it is supposed to be similar but cheaper. It definitely has the same feel and fit but i dont think it is as comfortable and cushioned. I guess you get what you pay for. But if you're not super picky and aren't already spoiled by the Gel Solution speed this might be a good place to start.
