Asics Gel Resolution X Mens Wide (2E) Tennis Shoe

I wanted to love these shoes. I ordered 2 pairs, normal size and 1/2 size down, but the heel slippage is absolutely insane. The style is lovely and the shoe looks great; the hard plastic on on the outside of the foot was pretty interesting to feel as well, I'm sure over time, that might break-in though, but really don't see that happening fairly quickly. I tried new laces and that didn't help heel slippage. The lacing system is cool once you understand and get use to it as it does allow for a version of a runners knot, but the way the heel sits in the shoe just didn't personally make me confident to use them.

Will probably return. Never seen lacing like this. Got rid of elastic on either side of the tongue. Can't get the shoe up properly, they feel snug on my foot, heel wants to slide up and down. They got rid of everything that was good about the nines and came up with this abomination. Definitely runs a half size large.
